1. PLACING THE RMS TRUST'S ARCHIVE COLLECTIONS
The RMS Trust would welcome enquiries from, and discussions with, charitable institutions - (probably, but not necessarily based in the UK) - who might be interested to acquire the "RMS Archive Collections (Painting and Drawings), (Writings) and (Architecture)" and other material relating to the artist Ralph Maynard Smith, which may be offered as a gift (see also "RMS Trust and Database" for details of the proposed "RMS Bequest).

2. ENHANCING THE TRUST'S DATABASE AND CATALOGUE RAISONNÉ
Having recently completed the basic text-only stage of the Paintings & Drawings Database, the Trust is beginning to enhance its documentation by entering the relevant images from its stock of approx. 300 high resolution photographs. With very limited resources, and relying heavily on voluntary expertise and labour, progress is extremely slow. Furthermore, the database and catalogue need to be enlarged to cover Writings and Architecture. The Trust would welcome financial contributions to these projects, which will be acknowledged. Progress will be reported on this website stage by stage.

The RMS Trust may also seek partnership with a Higher Education Institute for further degree-level research, with that being linked to the completion of the overall database and catalogue raisonné projects, as described elsewhere. The Trust would welcome discussions towards this end (inter-disciplinary / trans-disciplinary interests may be relevant, synaesthesia being a particular interest).

December 25th 2014 will mark the 50th Anniversary of Maynard Smith’s death. Plans to mark this occasion will be announced here in due course, and will also be listed with other events on our ‘Exhibitions & Projects’ page.
